Get a Better Night's Sleep

Sleep disorders can disrupt your sleep and negatively impact your overall health and well-being.

Sleep apnea is a condition that causes the muscles in the back of the throat to over-relax. Once in this relaxed state, the airway can become partially or fully obstructed, resulting in breathing cessation. People with serious sleep apnea can stop breathing up to 30 times an hour.

Although snoring and sleep apnea don’t always go hand in hand, people who are chronic snorers should schedule an appointment for sleep apnea testing.

If you are diagnosed with sleep apnea, Dr. Seddon and the team at Oceanfront Dental in Vancouver can work with you to provide a personalized treatment plan to address your sleep apnea symptoms and help you get a good night's rest.

Snoring & Sleep Apnea Treatment

Sleep apnea testing is vital if you believe you may be dealing with this serious breathing disorder. Unfortunately, thousands of cases of sleep apnea go undetected every year, as the patient has no idea that sleep apnea is the heart of their ongoing mental and physical health concerns.

We offer an overnight sleep test that can be done in the comfort of your own home. The test results indicate the type and severity of sleep apnea you have. Sleep apnea can be treated with the CPAP machine, or with a small, comfortable dental appliance that is designed to keep your airway open as you sleep.

The sleep apnea treatment we provide is designed to work towards eliminating the need for bulky CPAP machines. While they can be effective if used nightly, many CPAP machines go unused after six months because they are loud, uncomfortable and inconvenient.

If you have been diagnosed with sleep apnea, contact us to schedule an appointment to discuss sleep apnea treatment to address your symptoms.
